I love this book by Truman Capote. It is not just the lesson that is taught and the grace with which it is taught, but the importance of teaching the child you love to recognize to understand and recognize wrong at the very moment he is first doing it. When we let this moment go or leave it only punished, we do our chldren a disservice. I have no children, but do have a nephew I love very deeply. Since I read this story last year, I no longer cede the moral training to his parents. I have become a much more active friend and confidente.

Thank for sharing this. Have you recorded the rest of the story? You read beautifully. I like the picture, too.

Thank you for the kind words! I agree with your sentiments-very important to guide children every day. I am planning to record the rest of the story. Thank you for listening. :)

Warmly,
Chris
